This comic skit example, while humorous, highlights the many different ways people can interpret your message… so WHAT is the question…OR indeed the answer?
I believe that the answer is as unique as you are, or indeed your clients are. Research can help steer you in the right direction, and that research can be as simple as asking yourself a few questions:
- Do I WANT more clients, or am I busy enough?
There is no point getting more clients, if you are going to be too busy to service them properly.
- Where do most of my current clients come from?
It could be that most of your clients are sourced through referral, are they corporate or government based.
- Do my current clients return?
If not, that leads to another one…WHY not?
- Is there one particular area/field that I focus on?
Is your area of expertise narrow, which can focus your marketing into a particular area.
These simple questions can be the foundation to developing a successful marketing strategy to grow your business.
